Treatment Options in Esophagael Complications

The Esophagus is a tube that leads from the mouth, through the chest area, and to the stomach.

Surgery on the esophagus may be required to correct swallowing problems when food and liquid dont travel from the mouth to the stomach as it should. Others need surgery to prevent the liquid from the stomach from coming back up to the throat (a condition called GERD).

We prefer the minimally invasive treatment options (Key-Hole Surgeries) that involve only small cuts, or incisions, instead of traditional surgery. Dr. Arvind Kumar routinely performs major esophageal surgery using the state of art Robotic Surgical System.
